Eat, sleep and breath yarn

What did I do this weekend...let's just say the Duet Yarns had the spotlight.
I delivered Renaissance Yarns' order Saturday morning. I was still quite loopy, with my head still in the clouds from the cold, so pretty much the yarn delivery is a blur :P They had a knitting group there at the time I delivered and they seemed very eager to check out all the new colors! Later that night Renaissance Yarns e-mailed me to let me know they had already sold half of their order that day...I need to get their next order finished up ASAP!!

I also added a few new colorways to A Swell Yarn Shop . They are just about half gone at this point!!! I have a few more colorways drying on the racks so keep checking back!

Also on the drying racks are orders for Pick Up Sticks and The Yarn Grove . Those will be going out very soon, so even when I am sold out you will have a source for more Duet Sock Yarns!!! These two shops will be the only other on-line sources. I had other inquiries but have decided for now to only sell to brick and mortar store fronts.

For those of you who have already finished a pair of Duet Socks and have a blog you would like to share...I would love to recieve a comment with a link to your blog!!! It is so fun to see all the colorways knitted up!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy knitting!!!!

Sick as a dog....

You know, I really don't even know what that phrase means...Sick as a Dog. But I will tell you what, if it means really really yucky sick, then that is what I have been for the last week. A WHOLE WEEK. You see, I don't really get colds...maybe a sniffle here or there, but nothing that effects me. Because of this, about once every 3-5 years, I get a REAL DOOZY! I must have been due. Over the last week, I learned that over the counter cold medicine is WORTHLESS. I learned that laying down makes coughing worse. I learned that my husband can literally sleep through anything...even attempts to cough up a lung in the middle of the night. Today is day 7 and I haven't slept in 7 nights...delirious though I may be, I am actually FINALLY on the recovering side of this cold. YAY!! In other news, Renaissance Yarns loved their first order of Duet Sock Yarns in both Valentine Themes and Everday colors. So much so, that upon the delivery of that order, they placed an additional order. The word is that they are down to less than a handful of Duet Sock Yarn sets and I know a few of my website customers who are local knitters, helped dwindle their stock down. For those of you that it was a first visit for, isn't their shop beautiful?!
Above is a quick pix of their order that will be delivered this Saturday!! Truth be told, there are a few in there I wouldn't mind hording for myself, but I am practicing will power.
What does this mean for everyone else who doesn't live in the Kent, WA area?! You guessed it, MORE DUET SOCK YARNS ON THE WAY at A Swell Yarn Shop !!!!! I still have some skeining to do, but my hope is to have a few new colors added before the weekend is out. What's even better is you are the first to know about it!
Now if you will excuse me while I go pop a few more cough drops.....Have a happy Thursday!
